Q: How do I use FPS to transfer funds?
A:

You can access FPS service via Hang Seng Digital Business Banking or Hang Seng HSBCnet using devices such as tablet, smart phone or personal computer.

You only need either the recipient’s email address, mobile phone, FPS ID or account number to transfer funds.

   
Q: Can I use FPS to transfer funds to a bank account overseas?
A: No, FPS only supports local fund transfer in Hong Kong dollars (HKD) and Renminbi (RMB). Also, there is no foreign exchange conversion between HKD and RMB.
   
Q: What is the limit of each fund transfer through FPS?
A: 1 Million HKD or RMB.
   
Q: Is it necessary to pre-register addressing services before doing a fund transfer through FPS?
A:

As a payer, you can transfer fund through FPS without addressing registration. As a payee, you can receive fund through FPS by bank account number without registration of addressing services. However, if you wish to receive fund by Proxy ID (mobile number / email / FPS ID), you are required to pre-register your Proxy ID for addressing services.
